Wow - I really didn't know what I was in for with this whole blog thing! We have been VERY busy with Will and lots has been happening. I think we may be turning a corner though so it will become easier for me to update our blog. For those of you on Facebook, you know I do a much better job posting pictures and updates on there! Here is a summary of what's been happening with Will since I last posted right after he was born:
- Will is now 7 months old and weighs almost 19 pounds (I weighed 17 pounds when I was a year old)!
- Will was diagnosed with reflux at around 12 weeks and has been on medication since then. It has helped tremendously with his feedings and was really difficult before he was diagnosed. He is much happier now.
- Will has been a HORRIBLE sleeper! :) He was still waking up about 2 or 3 times a night at 5 1/2 months so we started sleep training. The hardest part for me has been the naps - he is a horrible napper! This is the main reason why I have ignored our blog!
- Will got his first tooth at 5 months and has two bottom teeth now.
- Will loves to make loud noises, scream, babble, roll over and scoot. He is definitely thinking about crawling as well. He is a very active little boy. During our 20 week ultrasound, the technician told me I needed to get my running shoes ready because he was moving so much. She was right!
- He loves to laugh and smile and we love it too!
- We started sleep training at about 5 months and it has helped tremendously. He now sleeps until around 4 in the morning. I feed him and then he goes back to sleep until around 7. We are working on eliminating that last night feeding!
Right now, I'm loving my time at home with Will. I can't believe the time is coming for me to make a decision about working next year. I am very torn and haven't yet made a decision. I miss my teacher friends and kids so much but don't want to miss a thing with Will either! I'll keep you posted on what I decide! If I do stay home with him next year, he is going to go to preschool 2 days a week at our church. Check back soon for more posts!
Here are a couple of our favorite pictures of Will. I'll post more very soon - I promise!
