February: Rex Is Here

I'm going to let the pictures tell the story of Rex's arrival for the most part.  I will say that this delivery was much better than my first.  Rex stuck to the plan for me to go in on the 2nd of February for a scheduled C-section, although I was sure he was going to come early.  This is very fitting with his personality - he is a laid back little guy and for the most part, likes to "go with the flow."  Here are some pictures from Rex's first few weeks:

 Here he is!

As soon as Rex arrived, the nurse told me she guessed he was 9 pounds.  I hadn't seen him yet for myself, but was very skeptical.  Will was only 7 lbs. 7 oz...Sure enough, she was right (almost).
8 lbs. 14.5 oz!!!

I get to see this big boy for myself!

Will meets Rex.  He was pretty ambivalent at first, but things have sure changed!

One of my very favorites.  Love these boys!

We were so lucky to have Beejie stay with us the first week!

Looking back before Rex was born, I was so worried about a lot of things.  Would I love him as much as I loved Will (didn't seem possible)? Would Will be ok?  Would we all adjust to life with one more family member?  It's funny now because it seems as if he's always been a part of our family.  I will still treasure the times we had with Will when he was our only one, but our family feels more complete now.  And the answer to ALL of the questions above? Yes, without a doubt.  We are so blessed to have two healthy little boys and I'm so glad we decided to give Will a sibling.  And although he may not have felt it right at first, he's glad too.  Watching them interact together now is just about the best thing in the world...more to come on that.

We love you, Rex!  We are so glad you joined our family and hope you like us too.  :)

Remember Me?

I'm back!  Simple as that.  I've missed the blogging and I decided I just need to jump right back in and get started again!  We met up with my friend Emily last week at a splash pad with our boys and I was talking to her about how I haven't written in so long, and it made me really sad.  She does a great job keeping up with hers, has 2 boys herself, and another on the way.  So, if she can do it, so can I... right Emily?!  No more excuses.

So obviously a lot has happened since January..."King Rex" has officially joined our family and is already 4 months old!  Although everyone reading this should know this by now, he arrived on February 2 and has been such a sweet baby and has fit in perfectly with our family.  Even better, Will absolutely adores him and has adjusted really well to no longer being the only child.  I had so much anxiety about Will having a hard time, and although it hasn't always been perfect, he has done a great job.  Check back with me when Rex is on the move though, and has started getting into all of Will's stuff.

I'm going to try to catch up a little on the past 4 months, but am going to focus mostly on keeping up from here on out.  As long as both boys are still sleeping for a little while, I may just catch up a little after all!
